Welcome to the Chair of Mobile Computing and Telemedicine
We conduct research at the intersection of human-computer interaction, mobile computing, and medicine to develop human-centered digital technologies for accessible, effictive, and trustworthy healthcare.
Our research focuses on human-computer interaction (HCI) research in the application domains of digital health and telemedicine, exploring how emerging technologies can support all stakeholders in healthcare:
- Human-centred interaction with medical data and responsible integration of AI
- Digital collaboration and telemedical care across distances
- Digital health education and empowerment of students and patients
Through this work, we aim to unlock the full potential of technology to improve healthcare delivery and individual well-being. The professorship is integrated into the Upper Franconia Medical Campus, which trains physicians in the “Human Medicine Erlangen/Bayreuth” degree programme.
